T-2 Finish this week, now on to next week's tournament

My 3rd and final round today started off windy. The windy conditions lasted for my first three holes, and on my first hole the wind physically blew me off my putt.

Throughout the round I hit the ball okay, but I also made some unfortunate bogeys because I didn't hit the ball solid earlier in the day. During the round today I had a couple wedge shots that I just didn't hit close enough to give myself a decent putt for birdie. On #4 I had a great up and down to save par, and on #8 I made a 15 footer for birdie. I finished the round with a total of 7 birdies and 4 bogeys (-3), putting me at -10 for the tournament. I was pleased with a T-2 finish, and I look forward to going out next week for the tournament at Raven GC.

T7 Finish Tourney 1; Tourney 2 Status

In last week's tournament I shot even par (72) in the final round, finishing at 211 and tied for 7th place. The final tournament results can be found here.

This week's tournament started yesterday, and I shot -4 with 5 birdies and and bogey. One of my birdies included making a 60 foot putt on my second hole of the day (#11). Today I shot -3 putting me tied for 2nd place. Tomorrow is the final round and I tee off at 9:24am. Results can be found here.

Tournament 1 - Anthem G&CC

Yesterday I had a descent round, shooting -3 (69). I felt okay about my round, but of course left some shots out there; I had 6 birdies and 3 bogeys. Then today I went out and initially had quite the ho-hum round by parring my first 8 holes, and then my scorecard got colorful. For the next 10 holes I didn't have a single par, mixing it up with a bunch of birdies, bogeys, double bogey and an eagle. Check it out for yourself here. The greens are prettty undulating and when I manage to leave myself long puts it makes it hard to avoid some of those bogeys.

This is a three round tournament, so tomorrow is the final round. There is a cut that is made tonight I believe, so you can view the full leaderboard here.

Gateway Pro Tour Begins

Last week I played in a two round Sponsor kick off event for the Gateway Tour winter series. It was a mini tournament where the players were competing for first place, which was the prize of a fully paid winter series. I finished tied for 4th, shooting one over par (73) and then a solid round of -6 (66) to finish two off first place (139). It was a great two days, and felt great to be back into competitive play finally! We played this event at McCormick Ranch Golf Club, and the full tournament results can be viewed here. The first official tournament of the Gateway Pro Tour winter series starts tomorrow out at Anthem Golf & Country Club . I tee off tomorrow morning at 8:30am. More tournament information and results can be found here.

My next steps; Off to Phoenix for the Gateway Tour

As some of you may know, I am taking my golf game to the desert. I have the very fortunate opportunity to go play golf for a couple years down in Arizona, as well as other golf-friendly locations. I am very excited to start this phase of my life and my game, as it is an opportunity that I have hoped for since college.

I will be moving down to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area to begin this adventure by joining the Gateway Tour, and also potentially join other tours as well as do some Monday qualifiers for the Nationwide Tour. I will continue to update this blog with my tournament information, results, future plans, etc. Thank you to everyone that has made this opportunity possible, as well as all my friends and family for the endless support.

Final Results from Second Stage of Q School

Derek just got off the golf course, so I wanted to update everyone since the tournament site doesn't yet have his score posted. He went out today and shot -5! Sadly, this won't get him in the top 21 to move on to the final stage. However it is a great round, especially under pressure, and makes for a much better note to end on as the season comes to an end.

Derek said that he hit the ball much better than yesterday, however couldn't get his putter rolling. His final round of -5 today put his 4 round tournament total to -4 (284). For more tournament information, go here.

Second Stage Q School - Round 2

Today it was really windy, especially at the end of the day. I shot -2, with only one bogey on #8. On #8 I didn't hit a great drive which cost me the bogey. I birdied #5, #9 and #18. On #9 I hit a 40 yard bunker shot to about two feet and made the putt and on #18 I made an 8-10 footer. More tournament information can be found here.

PGA National Assistants Championship & Off to 2nd Stage PGA Tour Q School

Couple items to cover:
1) PGA National Assistants Championship final results
2) PGA Tour Q School - Stage 2

As a follow up from the PGA National Assistants Championship down in Port St. Lucie, FL Derek shot -1 in the final round, putting him with a four round total of 288 (even par). He finished T15th which was only 5 shots off the winning score of -5. With a bit of a bitter end to the tournament Derek bogeyed the final hole in round 4. However the tournament as a whole was a great experience, and beneficial to be in competitive play the week before heading off to the second stage of PGA Tour Q School. After spending a few days in Orlando practicing, which included a round at Isleworth G&CC, Derek headed to McKinney, TX (near Dallas) for the second stage of PGA Tour Q School. Today was the first round of the second stage. Derek shot -1 today in a colorful round that included 4 birdies and 3 bogeys. Tournament results can be found here.

Round 3 PGA National Assistant's Championship

Today I swung the club better than yesterday, however I still had a miss that cost me two strokes. On #18 (9th hole of the day) I hit my second shot into the water finishing the hole with a double bogey. On the second nine, I managed to get three birdies and one bogey. One of the birdies included an 80 foot putt on the par 3 hole #4. Tomorrow is the final round, and I tee off at 7:57 am. Round 2 PGA National Assistants

Today's round was a bit rough, with a +2 finish (74). I didn't hit the ball as well I planned, and also missed a few key putts. After two rounds I am at 146 (+2). As of right now, the projected cut is +3, but with the winds blowing very strongly, odds are it will go up.

Round one is underway, I shot a even par 72 today. I didn't feel totally comfortable hitting the ball until about half way through my round. I didn't putt well at all today, so hopefully tomorrow I can go out and drop some putts. Tomorrow I tee off at 8:27am.

Q School Stage 1 Complete, Moving on to Stage 2

Despite the nerves that stuck around most of the day, I played another solid round today. I hit 17 greens in regulation for the second day in a row. I birdied #3 and #6, had a bogey on the par 4 hole #9 to turn at -1. I got one more birdie on #13 to finish with a 70 (-2). Thank you again for everyone who was supporting me, including my Grandpa who made it out to watch my final round.

Q School Stage 1 - Round 3

I hit the ball better today, hitting 17 of 18 greens. I had 4 birdies and no bogeys, finishing with a 68 (-4). I felt a little bit more comfortable out there today and I hope I can go out and shoot another good round tomorrow. I tee off round 4 at 10:40 am tomorrow.

Q School Stage 1 - Rounds 1 & 2

I am half way through stage 1 of Q School. Thank you to everyone who has been following me online and your words of encouragement. Round 1 was a bit of a roller coaster, with 6 birdies, 4 bogeys and 2 doubles, finishing at +2. In round 2 I teed off from hole #10 and got off to a hot start with 5 birdies on my first 9 holes. I was putting well, which obviously contributed to my birdies. I finished the round with 3 solid pars coming in, to finish the round at 67 (-5).

2011 PGA Tour Qualifying School

PGA Tour Qualifying School for 2011 is underway! Derek is down in Carson City, NV where he was assigned to the Dayton Valley CC location for stage 1. The tournament is a 4 round stroke-play event. The tournament started today and Derek teed off at 9:40. He will be updating the blog with the results shortly, so stay tuned!

Northwest Open Invitational begins today

The Northwest Open Invitational officially started today. The pro am portion of the event was over the weekend, and today through Wednesday is the championship portion.

The three round tournament is being held at Wine Valley Golf Course this year. Derek's first round began at12:30 this afternoon, and tomorrow he tees off at 7:30 am. As an amateur, Derek won The Northwest Open twice (2005, 2006).

Suncadia Prospector - 2011 Western WA Chapter PGA Pro-Am

After an exciting win at the PNW PGA Assistant Championship down in Tualatin, Oregon on Monday 8/8, Derek played in an 18 hole Pro-Am over at Suncadia Prospector GC the next day (8/9).

Individually Derek finished 2nd with a 70. Although only a one day event, it is still a round of competitive golf which is where Derek's passion is. He enjoyed playing with the gentlemen on his team (Greg Naaco, Ken Devones, and Mark Kammerer), despite a T10 finish (135).

Success at the Callaway PGA Assistant Championship

Yesterday down at Tualatin Country Club Derek took the "W" at the Callaway PGA Assistant Championship!

The tournament was a one day, 36 hole format with the top 2 finishers moving on to the National PGA Assistant Championship in Florida in November. Derek shot 69 in the morning, and 70 in the afternoon to finish first at 139 (-5).

Derek will be heading off to Port St. Lucie to represent the PNW section at the 2011 Callaway Golf PGA Assistant National Championship in November.

Derek and Josh in lead at Callaway PGA Assistant Championship

Today Derek is down in Tualatin, Oregon playing in the 36 hole Callaway PGA Assistant Championship.

The one day tournament is being played at Tualatin Country Club, and Derek tees off at 7:30 am and 12:45 pm.

Derek finished 4th in the Rosauers Open Invitational

The PNW PGA event Rosauers Open Invitational concluded yesterday over in Spokane, WA. The tournament was held at Indian Canyon G.C. from July 15th-17th.

The first round Derek shot one under (70), but came in strong after the second round with an eight under 63! The final round he shot a 67, putting his three round total to 200 (-13 total), securing 4th place. Hats off to Corey Prugh for the win with a 194.

Derek Playing at the Oregon Open

Yesterday kicked off Oregon Open Invitational down in Bend at Awbrey Glen GC.

Derek started off hot, with -3 through the first 6 holes, finishing with a 71 (-1). Today he shot a 69 (-3) to take a tie for the lead at 140 (-4). Today's results can be found here.

Tomorrow is the third and final round of the Oregon Open. Derek tees off in the final group of the day at 11:30 off tee #1. More tournament information can be found here.

Washington Open Invitational

After a rough day on the course, derek shot a +4 to finish -3 for the tournament. This put him in a dissappointing tied for 7th place. His swing needs some work, and thankfully his putter helped him score the first two rounds. Unfortunately yesterday he couldn't get the rock to roll as well as the first two rounds.

Despite the dissappointing finish, Derek's friends and family were very excited to watch him in his debut as a professional. It definitely gave me chills at the first tee when they announced him as "Professional Derek Berg". And that is what he is, a professional. There are days when you make it look easy and days when you don't. Although yesterday was a day that was more of a grind, the season has just started and there are more tournaments around the corner.

Derek tied for 2nd going into final round of WA State Open

After another great round of -3 par (68) today at Glendale CC, Derek is at a tournament total 136(-6) after two rounds.

Going into the final round tomorrow Derek is tied for 2nd, and tees off at 11:30 from tee #1.

US Open Local Qualifier

Derek played in the 18 hole US Open Qualifier last Thursday 5/12/11 at Tumble Creek Club in Cle Elum.

118 guys were trying to qualify for 8 spots. Derek shot an even par 71, and was in a 5 man playoff for 4 spots. He got a par on the first two playoff spots to make it in. The next step is the US Open Sectional Qualifier at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton at the end of May.

Round One - WA State Open

After his first round as a professional golfer, Derek came into the clubhouse with a 3 under 68. It was a bit of a dissappointing 68, as he got a bogey on the last hole (No. 9) and missed an 8 foot birdie putt on the second to last hole (No. 8).

Nonetheless, the first round is under the belt. Tomorrow he tees off at 9:20 on hole #1. After tomorrow's round, there will be a cut and then tee times for Wednesday will be announced.

WA State Open as a Professional

Today kicks off the Washington State Open at Glendale CC in Bellevue. This will be Derek's first time playing in this event as a professional!

Yes, you heard me correct, I said "professional"! It has been a long time coming, and Derek has decided to play golf as an apprentice in the PNW PGA.

Derek and Paul win Western Washington PGA 2011 PING Champions Pro-Am

Well if you are reading this, you are a true fan and therefore get to hear the news.....(drum roll)

Derek officially turned pro! Derek is going through the PNW PGA apprentice program and is therefore now an assistant golf professional.

Derek and his good friend Paul played in the Western WA PGA Ping Champions Pro-Am on April 11th. The came in with a 64 for the team gross best ball, putting them in first place. This was just a one day pro-am, but a very relieving and exciting day for me! Just thought I would share the news with any of you other fans out there. :)

Derek and Josh Win PNW Pro Am Championship!!!

Derek and Josh pulled off the win by 4 strokes, shooting a two round total of 15 under! The tournament was played at Astoria G&CC and was played as a best ball format. Pacific Northwest Pro Am Championship

For the past two days Derek and Josh Immordino have been down in Astoria, OR for the Pacific Northwest Pro Am Championship. The two round tournment is being played at Astoria G&CC. Yesterday Derek and Josh shot a 66 at the par 72 course, putting them in third place at the end of the day. The second round began with a shotgun start at 9 am. Despite the wind and cold, they managed to pull off the win by 4 strokes! I will have more info to come once I talk to Derek longer and find out how the round went (hole by hole of course)!

USGA State Team Championship

Derek is at the USGA State Team Championship down in the Bay area. The tournament is hosted at Mayacama Golf Club and the first round was today. Derek shot even, and the team posted a -2, putting them in a two way tie for first place! Tomorrow Derek tees off in the afternoon. USGA Mid Amateur Qualifier

Derek was at the USGA Mid Amateur 18 hole qualifer today at The Prospector Course out at Suncadia. The amazing John-O was caddying today, so thank you John. Only 3 spots were available at the qualifier today, and Derek shot +1, which wasn't enough to make it unfortunately. As of right now (not all scores are posted yet), -3 is in the lead. The USGA Mid Amateur is Sept 25-30 at Atlantic GC in Bridgehampton, NY.

The Northwest Open Invitational

This week Derek is over in Walla Walla for the Northwest Open Invitational at Wine Valley Golf Course. This is the tournament that in years past he has won twice! Yesterday was the first of three rounds. He opened up with a 74 (2 over par). He tees off today for the second round at 1:42.

Scratch Player's Championship!

Derek is playing in the Scratch Player's Championship this week down at Canterwood G & CC. This is an invitational that is held in the same state as the US Amateur each year. Tomorrow Derek will play 36 holes. Results can be followed here.

Derek is confident in how he is hitting the ball, and said that he had two tee shots total in the 2 rounds that got him in trouble. Other than that, he is happy with how he is hitting it, just not happy with the number at the end of the day. He is out playing round 3 right now. Updates on round 3 to come this afternoon.

Derek Won the Oregon Open Invitational!

After a smooth sailing par the first round and a spectacular seven under 65 the second round, Derek went into the final round of the 2010 Oregon Open Invitational with a four stroke lead. He posted a par 72 for his final round and took home the trophy by one stroke! He also brought home the Low Am trophy for the tournament. In the Pro-Am Four Ball team event, Derek and his partner Josh Immordino tied for first place with Jerry Johnson and Justin Bentz. For the full results page, go here.

Oregon Open Invitational - June 2010

Sorry it has been awhile since the last post, I make a promise to you now that the season is underway to keep this baby updated! Enough about me, let's talk about Derek's game!

Derek is down at the Oregon Open Invitational down at Juniper GC in Redmond, OR. Tuesday was the first round, and Derek came in with par 72 for the day, which put him around T15th place after day 1. Yesterday he shot a seven under 65 during the cold windy round. Going into today's round, Derek leads the field with a 137. He teed off today at 11:30 for the final round. More information to come!

Despite having the flu during the second stage of PGA Tour Qualifying School, there are still positive things to draw from my experience. I know that I can compete and eventually make it on the PGA Tour. I also know that things happen at the right time for the right purposes, so I will continue on practicing and doing what I do best; playing golf! I will spend the winter practicing (so long as the ground isn't frozen or covered in snow) and keeping in shape. Basketball and yoga are the activities that keep my in shape during the winter months.

PGA Tour Q School 2009 Stage 2 - Rnds 1 & 2

While struggling for about a week with the flu, Derek went out yesterday and today and gave it his all with the little energy he had. Although yesterday he got off to a rough start with a 76 four over par, today he was able to go out there and for the first time in a week actually have some energy over the golf ball and shot one under. Today was the first day Derek said he felt semi-healthy, feeling about 80% back to health. Tomorrow he tees off at 9:30 for round three. Q School Second Stage

Washington State Golfer of the Year!

PGA Tour Q School 2009 - Round 4

In the final round of the first stage of PGA Tour Qualifying School Derek shot -2 (70) to finish at -19 for the tournament. He got off to another great start with birdies on holes number 3 and 4. He had a bogey on hole 7, however turned around and birdied hole 8 to turn at -2. Then on the back nine there were a lot of pars, one birdie on hole 14, and an unfortunate bogey on hole 18, leaving him in 2nd place overall for the first stage in Dayton Valley! Derek will be driving back to soggy Washington to practice for a few weeks until he is notified where he will be assigned for second stage. Second stage of Q School begins November 18-21. There are six different locations for second stage, and we do not know which stage Derek will be going to yet. We will keep you posted! Derek shot 67 (-5) today in the third round, making his three round total -17. He eagled hole number 3 and made the turn at -2. He then birdied 11, 13, 17, and 18. Today Derek fired off a 65! He teed off hole number 10, got a bogey on hole 12, then he went on to birdie 14, 15, and 18 to turn at -2. Then on the front nine (his back nine of the day), he birdied hole 1, eagled hole 3, and then birdied holes 4 and 5 to finish -7!

PGA Tour Q School 2009 - Round 1

Today was the first round of the first stage of Q School in Dayton Valley, Nevada. Derek shot a 67, 5 under par in today's first round to get off to a smooth start. He got off to a great start with 3 birdies in a row, and later went on to birdie number 12, 17 and 18. The only bogey of the day came on the par 4 hole number 9. 2009 PGA Tour Q School

It is that time of year again.....Q School! Derek drove down to Dayton, Nevada last weekend to head off to qualifying school. For more information on PGA Tour Q School please click here. Derek was assingned to the Dayton Valley Country Club for his first stage. The first stage is 4 rounds of golf from October 21-24. More info on how he plays today will come later. He tees off today at 10:28 am.

US Mid Amateur - Summary

Following two solid rounds of strokeplay (68, 73), Derek moved on to match play having finished T3 for the strokeplay portion of the tournament! The rain caused delay after delay on day 3 (first day of matchplay), forcing the USGA to suspend play for the day after 6 hours of sitting in the clubhouse. So, day 4 consisted of 2 matches back to back. In the first match (round of 64), Derek won his match 5&4! In the afternoon round, Derek lost the match to Tim Spitz (2&1), however played solid golf. When he got on the 16th tee box, he was down 3 with 3 to play. In order to stay alive he had to win the next 3 holes to keep the match going. So Derek stepped up to the tee box with a bit more aggression in hopes to birdie the hole to stay alive. The aggression paid off and he won the hole. The par 4, 430 yard dog leg right hole 17 was playing from the further up tee boxes, which it hadn't all week, allowing for a slight possibility to drive the green. To the gallery's and my surprise, Derek stood up on the tee box and aimed over the marsh and killed a drive toward the green! His ball landed on the green, leaving him with a 50 foot eagle putt. Tim hit a solid drive to the middle of the fairway and then stuffed his second shot 4 feet from the hole for a birdie chance. So, knowing that making the eagle putt would be his only chance to win the hole and carry the match to 18, Derek gave it a roll. It was a great putt, with the perfect speed and had us all in awe as it made its way across the green on the perfect line. Then, it grazed the right side of the hole and stopped 6 inches behind the cup, leaving Derek with a disappointing birdie. Tim made his birdie putt to close out the round and move on to his next match. He went on to the final match against Nathan Smith, who took the title for the US Mid Amateur.

US Mid Amateur Kiawah Island, South Carolina - Round #2

Today Derek played the Kiawah Island Cassique course (par 72) and shot 73. Combined with yesterday's first round that puts him at -2 (141), which is No. 3/4 seed. Derek had a bogey on #6 and #7 (which was his 16th and 17th holes of the day). On #6 he missed a 4 footer to save par, having just missed the green on his second shot. On the par 4 #7 he had about 140 yards into the green, and knowing he was going to make the cut, he went for the pin in hopes for a birdie. It came up about 1 yard short and ended up in the green side bunker. He ended up with a bodey, but rallied back with a birdie on the final hole #9 with a 20 foot putt down hill with break. Tomorrow starts the first round of matchplay. We tee off at 9:10 am.

PNGA Mid Amateur - Homestead Farms Golf Resort

Today concluded the second round of the PNGA Men's Mid Amateur hosted at Homestead Farms Golf Resort up in Lynden, WA. Derek followed his +2 (74) from yesterday with a -8 (64) today! Derek shot 2 under today (70) with a chip in eagle on hole #1 (10th hole of the day)! He is hitting the ball well and rollin' the rock! We had a lot of great putts and a few lip outs too. Fun, yet hot day of golf. But being on the course is always better than a day at work (even if it is 114 degrees)!

Pacific Coast Amateur 2009 - The Gallery Golf Club

We arrived to Tucson on Saturday afternoon. I had my first practice round out at The Gallery Golf Club yesterday, and have another practice round out there today. This is a picture of the first tee. It was around 110 degrees out there today, and I think Candice and her mom will be melted by the end of the week!

I'm heading out there again in just a bit for practice round 2.

PNGA Men's Amateur

Derek shot one under (71) in the first round of the PNGA Men's Amateur at the Home Course in DuPont, WA. Today, in the second round, he shot two under (70) to complete the stroke play part of the tournament at three under. The cut was made today at 149, with exactly 64 players at 149 or better. There was potential for a huge playoff to determine the cut, but turned out to be an exact amount of 64 guys at 149 or better.

Tomorrow starts the match play portion of the PNGA Men's Amateur. The remainder of the tournament is single elimination match play. Derek tees off tomorrow (Thursday) at 10:45 against Sean Collopy or Lake Oswego, OR. Follow along here.

Sorry for the late update.....

The final round Derek shot 3 over 75 in the WA State Amateur at Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman, WA. On the 18th hole he had a chance to tie it up to go to extra holes, but it didn't quite work out that way. He had a 45 foot put for eagle to tie it, and missed by about 4 inches, but at least gave it a run for it. He shot the ball well and is satisfied how he played overall in the tournament.

Callaway Golf Invitational 2009

I played in the Callaway Golf Invitational (2 round event) Monday and yesterday. I shot 68, and 70. I finished 2nd overall, and 1st for the team event with my fellow team mate and friend Tom Sovay.

Ended up with a 22nd finish in the 2009 Mexican Amateur. It was a pleasure to have been invited to this tournament, and to experience golf at Club de Golf Mexico in Mexico City. The course was a hard course, with exceptionally narrow fairways. On the other hand, the greens were in horrible shape. I made it home tonight, however I wish I could say the same for my clubs. I know my clubs made it back to the states, because after I went through customs in Texas, I had to re-check them. So, somewhere wandering between Seatac and Dallas Fort Worth are my babies. Let's hope that American Airlines delivers them to me tomorrow morning. Afterall, I have to get out to the course to practice. Thanks for all who supported me in this tournament.

The tournament website seems to be having an error. In the first round of the tournament I shot 82 (afternoon tee time), but came back on Friday (morning tee time makes a difference) and shot 74 on the par 72 Club de Golf Mexico. Hopefully the tournament website will be functioning soon, so everyone can view both the team and individual scores. More to come soon.....

I've headed off to Mexico City for the Mexican Amateur. I flew in yesterday 3/23 and today and tomorrow are practice rounds (3/24 and 3/25). The elevation here is just under 7,400 feet and the population is around 22 million. The tournament is being held at is Club de Golf Mexico in Mexico City. It will be 4 rounds; 18 holes of strokeplay each round. On Thursday I tee off of the first tee at 12:45.

Gearing Up....

I am in Phoenix getting some quality practice in. Unfortunately the Washington weather hasn't allowed for much practice this winter, so I jumped at the opportunity to head south for some sunshine. I will be in the Phoenix/Scottsdale are until the beginning of March, then I will be back to Seattle (but not for long). I head to Mexico City for the Mexican Amateur Championship at Club de Golf Mexico to represent the state of WA at the end of March. Before I know it, the golf season will be in session. I intend to play in the Sahaleee Player's Championship, the WA State Amateur, The PNGA, the Pacific Coast Amateur, and qualify for the US Am, US Mid Am, and US Public Links Am. I hope to add more tournaments to the list depending on financing..... Stay tuned!

Thus far, this fall and winter have been mild enough to allow for abundant practice time. I plan on having a pretty busy spring and summer tournament schedule. There are several national amateur tournaments that I hope to add to my agenda. More to come once I get my tournament schedule established for 2009.

Farewell

I'd like to pay respect to my dear friend and fellow golfer Billy. Forever his spirit, humor and character will remain fresh in the minds of all who knew him. I personally will never forget the support and encouragement that Billy so vigorously gave me in regards to my golf game and future. Beginning at the age of 12 when I first met Billy, his words of encouragement and of course his humor have enriched both my golf game and life. Thank you Billy!

Just wanted to give an update on Q School this year:

I am heading to my First Stage of PGA Tour Qualifying School in Dayton, NV. The 4 round first stage will take place at Dayton Valley Golf Club from October 21-24. I will head to Nevada in a couple weeks to allow myself a couple practice rounds. Again I am so grateful for all the support and warm wishes from everyone. Once I have an agenda set in stone I will fill you in on details...in the mean time its back to work and back to practicing until I leave!

2008 Q-School

I am trying to make it to PGA Tour Qualifying School this year. Last year was my first time going to Q School. I had my Pre-Qualifier for Q School in Auburn, Al. First Stage of Q School for me was suppose to be at Carlton Oaks, CA but due to the horrible fires in the San Diego area last year, we were relocated to TPC Scottsdale. I missed advancing by one stroke, however walked away a stronger more experienced golfer. With the entry deadline drawing nearer for the 2008 PGA Tour Q School, I am crossing my fingers and thanking my friends and family for helping me try to make it there again.
